EAT OUT
Brunch on a weekday! It's happened to all of us: You get a day off work, you wake up late, you think it's the weekend, you want to get brunch...and then the hard cold reality sinks in: There is no brunch on the weekdays. Well guess what pancake princess? Today there is. Kitsch'n (both their Roscoe Village and River North locations) will be serving their renowned Hangover Brunch until 3pm. Run, don't walk. (Unless you truly are hungover, in which case running is probably not a good idea.) River North: 600 W Chicago Ave between Larrabee St and the Chicago River (312-644-1500). Roscoe Village: 2004 W Roscoe St between Damen and Seeley Aves

AROUND TOWN
Get outta town About a four-hour drive west of Chicago, this four-day, nonstop Christian-music fest features more bands than the 1969 Woodstock and last year's Lollapalooza combined. Tune in to everything from alternative pop to hardcore head-banging acts at this all-ages event. Other alternative delights include a skate park, camping grounds, kids programs and a prayer tent. For a preview of what's in store, check out the documentary on the festival titled Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music? Cornerstone Festival County Hwy 15 at 23325 N Cornerstone Rd, Bushnell (www.cornerstonefestival.com). 9am-1am; kids 6-11 $35, festival pass $125, family pass (includes camping) $295, kids 5 and under free.

TIME IN
Burnt-out from festivities? It's okay if you're not trekking down to the sweatfest of Taste: XRT's kind enough to give a live broadcast of bands playing at the fest. Sounds like the usual sweltering crowds and expsive eaets, right? Well, of course that's part of it. The real kicker, though is how damn good nd diverse the lineup is. The Kinks' Ray Davies headlines, and My Morning Jacket and Mike Doughty's Band open up. It's the best Taste we've had in years. 19th Annual XRT Free Fouth of July Concert at Taste of Chicago. WXRT-FM 93.1 (3-7:30pm).

BOOKS
The Cafe Poetry Series Charlie Newman changes up his weekly poetry series by declaring tonight Poetry Wheel night and exhorting wordsmiths to bring out lots of their verse. Each poet should bring enough to have something on hand to sunc up with the poem read before them. Our instincts say if you have a poem about Americ, patriotism or the Fourth of July, you should bring it. The Cafe, 5115 N Lincoln Ave at Foster Ave (773-275-5025).

COMEDY
Chicago Underground Comedy One of the more reliable nights of stand-up in the city, the Underground usually has the top local comics putting their best stuff out there. Gunther Murphy's, 1638 W Belmont Ave between Ashland Ave and Paulina St (773-472-5139). $5, 8:30pm.
