Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy "My Chicago 2020" Scholarship Contest

You've found your passion. Now make it real.

How would you use digital media to help shape a better future for your community? Tribeca Flashpoint Academy and Time Out Chicago have teamed up to help you turn that vision into a reality.  We want to hear your ideas for using film, games, animation, audio, or design to improve a Chicago-area community by the year 2020.  Would you create a film to promote social change? Improve civic operations with a clever new phone app?  Perhaps inspire a city-wide green initiative with an interactive advertising campaign? 

Wow us with your solution, and you could be eligible for a $25,000 scholarship to Chicago’s Digital Media Arts College, Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy.*

CONTEST RULES: * $25,000 scholarship will be applied equally over a four-semester course of study at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. Students are responsible for all other tuition, fees and requirements as outlined in TFA’s Student Handbook.  Prize may not be exchanged for cash.  Contest winner must meet all TFA Admissions requirements, including submitting an application and being accepted, and attend a campus tour. 

One entry per person. These competitions are open to any U.S. resident (unless otherwise stated) except current students of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, employees of Time Out Chicago and sponsoring organizations, their agents or anyone directly connected to these promotions. No purchase required for this promotion. Contest valid October 11, 2011 through November 19, 2011. All entrants must attend a student interview at TFA by December 1, 2011. Winner must be 17 years of age or older unless otherwise stated. Prizes are as described above; no cash alternatives will be given. Prizes may not be sold, traded, transferred or refunded. Any and all federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Travel is based upon availability and blackout dates may apply. If for any reason winners are unable to use prizes within the time specified, the participating organizations are not responsible for providing replacement prizes. No make goods will be given in the event of a canceled or rescheduled event. Value of prize package is as follows: Grand prize $25,000. By participating in this contest, entrants agree to receive promotional emails from Time Out Chicago and waive any claims against Time Out Chicago arising out of use of the prize and related services. The odds of winning are relative to the number of correct, eligible entries received; winners will be selected based by a panel of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy faculty and administrators. Winners will be announced December 15, 2011.
