While the pop-up galleries seemed to be billed as the main attraction at this weekend's Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival, the live music was a close second. The organizers outdid themselves this year, booking an extremely solid lineup of local acts. From the spastic art-rock of the Eternals (featuring associate music editor Areif Sless-Kitain on the skins) to the oddball mash-ups of the Hood Internet, the musical offerings were far more diverse than your run-of-the-mill street festival.
